About the threading
Our WRAITH line is alpha threaded, 1.125 x 28 TPI. It is single point threaded on a lathe at < 0.001 TIR and followed with a tap then checked against a gauge. The actual major diameter is 1.108-1.105 with the seal occuring at the seat.
About the metal
We typically use 6061 aluminum made in the USA or Germany and sourced through onlinemetals.com. This is true of both our rod and tube.
About the finish...
The finish is baked epoxy sourced from Brownell's "Alumahyde." Tubes are sanded, degreased with isopropanol, dried then flocked hot with the paint before being baked for 6 hours at 200 degress F. If you choose a raw tube it will arrive sanded and degreased.
What about shipping?
I use USPS flat rate boxes. The shipping is baked into the overall price so what you see is what you pay.
What's your shipping time?
I find that when I rush things go poorly for everyone. Some things I stock, others are fabricated on demand. I can promise three business days and if it has to be longer you will hear from us.
Does it come with a guarantee?
Not knowing your use case, I can't promise it will work how you want it to. I am transparent in my specs so you can do your own research into suitabiliry. However if you're not happy with the workmanship please contact us - we want to be fair.
What is a "linear compensator?"
Linear compensators force blasts of hot gas and stipling forward, away from the operator. Traditional systems direct the blast sideways to disperse it evenly which can result in laterally positioned teammates getting blast particles in their face, especially indoors.
Do you make cups or insides?
Absolutely not, not until we are duly licensed. Please be couteous and don't even ask. The founder is a former LEO who loves the builder community but takes public safety very seriously.
Is this compatible with other brands?
That's a big hell yes. That's the entire point! In fact, we use our competitor's products as a guage to make sure they thread cleanly.
